Review (continued): The A3 is available in three trims - Standard, Sport and S line. There are a total of ten different configurations of engine and transmission available with five petrol engines and three diesels. In the standard version the petrol engines include the 1.4 TFSI, 1.6 and 1.8 TFSI and have combined fuel consumption averages ranging between 48.7mpg and 37.6mpg and CO₂ emissions between 138g/km and 179g/km. The diesel engines in the standard versions include the 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI with combined fuel economies ranging between 55.4mpg and 47.9mpg and CO₂ emissions between 119g/km and 156g/km. Acceleration between 0-62mph for the petrol versions ranges between 7.8 seconds (1.8 TFSI S tronic) and 11.9 seconds (1.6 - 5 speed) and for the diesel versions between 11.4 seconds (1.9 TDI - 5 speed) and 7.8 seconds (2.0 TDI (DPF) S tronic). In the Sport and S line versions the 2.0 TFSI petrol engine with 6 speed transmission returns an average of 36.2mpg, CO₂ emissions of 186g/km and 0-62mph in 7.0 seconds and the 3.2 quattro V6 6 speed a combined average pf 26.9mpg, CO₂ emissions of 250g/km and 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds (S tronic 30.1mpg, CO₂ 224g/km and 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds).
