Review (continued): There are three trims - Lounge, Pop and Sport - and three engines available in each - all with low CO₂ emissions and some very good fuel economies. The 1.2 litre petrol has a combined average fuel consumption of 55.4mpg and CO₂ emissions of 119g/km. The 1.4 16v petrol engine gets a combined average of 44.8mpg and CO₂ emissions of 149g/km. The best is the diesel 1.3 16 valve Multijet which has a combined average fuel economy of 67.3mpg and CO₂ emissions of 110g/km. Insurance groups range between 2 and 6 depending on engine size and level of trim. It handles with assurance and good grip and is especially capable around town. Acceleration and top speeds are respectable for a small vehicle. Air conditioning is fitted as standard on the Lounge and Sport but is an optional extra on the Pop. The inside layout is simple, neat and airy with good dashboard and control visibility. Overall, it's a first class choice for anyone not making regular long journeys, who is conscious of their motoring costs, wants a low environmental impact, top class safety and a touch of light hearted distinctiveness.
