Review: Honda prefer to call the CR-V an SUV but whether you refer to it as that or as a 4x4 it certainly fills a niche in the family car market. So, it's not going to be all things to all people but just the right solution for many. Review (continued): It feels and handles a lot like a hatchback and despite it's extra weight and size, gets some outstanding fuel economy and CO2 returns by comparison with just about any other 4x4 you can think of. The 2.2 i-CDTi averages 43.5mpg, has CO2 emissions of 173g/km and gets from 0-62mph in just 10.3 seconds. The i-VTEC is a little faster between 0-62mph at 10.2 seconds and has a combined fuel economy of 34.9mpg with CO2 emissions of 192g/km. Its low centre of gravity gives it better road holding stability and cornering. It also has Collision Mitigation Braking System which nudges you to take action if it detects a car too close ahead or driving across in front of you and if you don't take action it progressively intervenes to prevent a collision. Safety equipment includes driver and front passenger front and side airbags, curtain airbags, ABS with EBD and VSA.
