Review: There are four petrol, three diesel and two bio-power engines from which to chose. All are powerful and respond smoothly and effectively at any speed. Acceleration varies in line with engine size as you would expect - the slowest between 0-60mph is 11.2 seconds and the fastest does it in just 7.0 seconds. The soft-top looks good and is very well insulated. On the road control is taut and assured although it's most comfortable as a touring car than being hurled around country lanes.

Review (continued): The interior, as with all SaABS, is distinguished by supremely comfortable and supportive seating and a sensible, rather than flamboyant or plush layout and feel. Equipment levels are good. The convertible was awarded five stars for adult occupant safety in the Euro NCAP crash tests and features Saab's 'DynaCage' to protect occupants in the event of a roll-over, which consists of a strengthened windscreen frame and active pop-up bars behind the rear seats. It also has driver and front passenger airbags, head/thorax front-side airbags, ABS, cornering brake control, EBD and front active head restraints.
