Review (continued): You can also choose between three or five door versions and four trims - T2, T3, T Spirit and T180. It's comfortable whether driving around town or on a motorway and responds well and decisively on cornering without a wrestling match. Toyota are concerned about their environmental profile and there are some very good results from this with the Auris. For example, the 2.0 litre D4-D diesel engine will return an average 52mpg and produces only 144 g/km CO2 and enjoys low insurance rates and Road Tax. They didn't miss out on safety either. It was awarded five stars in the Euro NCAP crash tests, has nine (yes - nine) airbags (including the increasingly popular drivers kneebag) as standard, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist and a crash resistant body shell and structure. It's a very well rounded ands accomplished car that does everything quietly.
