Review (continued): There are four trims available - the T2, T3, T Spirit and T180 and four engines, two of which are diesel - the 2.2 D4 D 140 and the T180 2.2 D4-D - and two of which are petrol - the 1.6 VVT-i and the 1.8 VVT-i. For both performance and fuel economy the diesels look a good choice. The T180 2.2 D4-D gets an average of 33.2mpg, has a CO2 output of 178g/km and has the fastest acceleration at 8.8 seconds from 0-62mph. It was awarded yet another five-star rating in the Euro NCAP crash safety tests and has any number of structural and energy absorbing features built in - such as the MICS (Minimum Intrusion Cabin System).
