Review (continued): The body is taut so that it handles equally well as an open top in in whichever mode you choose the ride is confident and the road grip tenacious. The build quality is exemplary. Not much has been made of its performance in trade reviews which seems a bit mean considering that even the entry level 1.4 TSI moves itself comfortably from 0-62mph in 10.9 seconds. They're intended to be about many more things than raw speed but with the higher end engines accelerating from 0-62mph in just 7.3 seconds it's not exactly unenergetic.
